Recipe: Iced tea from loose-leaf fruit tea

Summer Refreshment: Iced Fruit Tea from Loose Fruit Tea Fruit tea is not only a delight when drunk hot - as a cool iced tea, it provides a refreshing change on warm days. With a few simple steps, you can conjure up a delicious, natural, and colorful thirst quencher.

Ingredients

 • 2–3 tbsp loose fruit tea (depending on desired intensity)

 • 1 liter of water

 • Ice cubes as desired

 • Optional: Sweetener (e.g., honey, agave syrup, sugar)

 • Optional: Fresh herbs (mint, basil) or fruit slices (lemon, orange, berries)

Preparation

1. Boil water Bring the water to a rolling boil. Since fruit tea does not contain delicate tea leaves (like, for example, green tea), you can confidently use boiling water here.

2. Steep the tea Place 2–3 tablespoons of loose fruit tea in a heat-resistant container or teapot and pour the hot water over it.

• Steeping time: About 8–10 minutes (depending on the tea and desired flavor intensity).

• Tip: If you want a particularly intense fruit flavor, let the tea steep a little longer.

3. Let cool Once the tea has reached the desired intensity, remove the tea infuser or strain out the tea leaves. Let the tea cool to room temperature before placing it in the refrigerator.

4. Refine and chill Place the cooled tea in the refrigerator for at least an hour so it gets really cold.

• You can add sweetener (e.g., honey or agave syrup) either during steeping or later – depending on whether you prefer it naturally tart or a little sweeter.

• Add fresh herbs like mint or basil as desired to give the iced tea an extra fresh note. A splash of lemon or orange also goes perfectly with it.

5. Serve Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the chilled fruit tea over it. Feel free to decorate the glass with a slice of lemon, orange, or a few berries. Your summery-fruity iced delight is ready!

Serving and Variation Ideas

Fruity fresh: Puree fresh berries and add them as a fruity topping to the glass.

• Sparkling: Replace part of the water with sparkling mineral water once the tea is cold.

• Tropical Vibes: Refine the tea with a splash of coconut water and a slice of pineapple.

Conclusion: With loose fruit tea, you can conjure up a delicious iced tea in no time – completely without artificial additives. Try different varieties and find your personal favorite! This way, you'll start the summer perfectly refreshed.

Enjoy!
