Von Beauty & Tea zum Tee-Ritual für zu Hause

From Beauty & Tea to the Home Tea Ritual

When we started Beauty & Tea in Engelberg in 2019, we wanted to create more than a classic beauty salon and more than a place where you could drink tea. Our idea was a holistic wellness moment.

I was a trained beautician and knew from my work how valuable it is to be able to completely let go for a certain period of time. That's why Markus and I wanted to create a place where a treatment wouldn't simply end with the last touch.

A massage or a cosmetic treatment should feel like a real break – quiet, personal, and soothing. A treatment that continued with a cup of tea.

This is how our Tea Lounge came into being, alongside our beauty area.

After a treatment, our customers could stay, sit down, and enjoy one of our teas in peace. At the same time, the lounge was also open to people who came in from outside and wanted to treat themselves to a little break.

For us, these two areas always belonged together.

The treatment gave the body attention.

The calm atmosphere helped to let go.

And a cup of tea rounded off the moment.

This was exactly our founding idea: to see wellness not as a single service, but as a feeling that is allowed to linger a little longer.

The location has changed – the idea has remained.

Today, our former shop in Engelberg and the beauty services in that form no longer exist. However, the idea behind it has remained.

Markus and I highly value wellness treatments and conscious breaks ourselves. But we also know that you don't always have time for a spa day, a massage, or a longer trip.

That's why today we want to show that a soothing moment can also be created at home.

Not perfect.

Not elaborate.

And not only when everything else is done.

Sometimes a few consciously designed minutes are enough. Tea as part of a personal ritual

For us, tea is therefore much more than just a drink.

Even the preparation can be a small ritual: heating water, choosing the blend, perceiving the scent, and slowing down for a moment.

Tea doesn't automatically change the whole day. But it can help to create a conscious transition – between work and closing time, between tension and calm, or between what had to be done and what can now feel good.

Our Ritual Collection was also born from this idea. The individual teas represent different moods and moments. They are not just meant to taste good, but to be an invitation to consciously take time for yourself.

Wellness recipe:

A little break with Inner Glow.

This ritual requires no special preparation and can be easily implemented at home.

You need:

  • Your favorite tea, for example Inner Glow
  • A beautiful cup
  • A soft blanket or a warm towel
  • Dimmed light or a candle
  • Ten to fifteen minutes without your phone

This is how your wellness moment is created:

Prepare the tea slowly and consciously. While the water is heating up, you can already try to let go of the day for a moment.

Set up a quiet place for yourself. This can be the sofa, an armchair, the bed, or even the bathroom after a warm bath.

Light a candle or dim the lights. Put your phone out of reach and sit down with your cup.

First, perceive the scent of the tea. Feel the warmth of the cup in your hands and take the first sip very consciously.

Inner Glow is particularly well suited for this ritual because its spicy, warming, and radiant characteristics accompany a calm, cozy moment.

After that, you don't have to do anything else.

No program.

No task.

No perfect meditation.

Just sit, drink, and arrive at yourself for a few minutes.

Well-being arises from small moments. Wellness doesn't always have to be grand.

Sometimes wellness is a professional treatment. Sometimes it's a free afternoon. And sometimes it's just a warm cup of tea, a quiet space, and the decision not to ignore yourself for a few minutes.

This is exactly the feeling we want to convey with our teas.

The surroundings may be different today than they were back at Beauty & Tea in Engelberg. But the idea has remained the same:

To give people a moment where they feel cared for, can find peace, and get a little closer to themselves again.

Your tea. Your ritual. Your break.
