Sencha is by far the most popular tea in Japan and accounts for a large portion of the country's production. This high-quality tea was harvested in spring and only lightly steamed before rolling. The leaf appears slightly brittle due to its taut character. After infusion, the fine leaf structure is clearly visible. The infusion shimmers deep olive green and produces a light green cup. In taste, this Sencha is significantly milder than its counterparts. With its pleasantly soft note and light sweetness, this tea is particularly recommended for delicate palates.
